Introduction
 

ThyssenKrupp Mexinox, Mexico's only manufacturer of stainless steel cold rolled flat products was founded in 1976. ThyssenKrupp Mexinox has pursued the goal of producing stainless steel with improved corrosion resistance, strength and an excellent surface finish. Since 1997, ThyssenKrupp Mexinox has been a member of the German group ThyssenKrupp AG, within the division ThyssenKrupp Stainless (TKS), the world's leading manufacturer of stainless steel flat products.

ThyssenKrupp Mexinox's headquarters and plant are located in San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., the geographic center of Mexico.

ThyssenKrupp Mexinox constantly updates its technology; with presently three Sendzimir mills, the annual cold rolling capacity of 200,000 metric tons is sold mainly to North, Central and South America.

ThyssenKrupp Mexinox's sales in the USA are handled through its own organization, Mexinox USA Inc., with a head office in Chicago and a warehouse in Brownsville, Texas.

In Mexico there is a countrywide distribution network including seven owned warehouses, while in other export markets ThyssenKrupp Mexinox is represented through agents.

The parent company ThyssenKrupp Stainless GmbH (TKS-SL) owns 100% of ThyssenKrupp Nirosta GmbH (TKS-NR) with five production sites in Germany, 90% of ThyssenKrupp Acciai Speciali Terni S.P.A. (TKS-AST) with two production sites in Italy, and 60% of Shanghai Krupp Stainless Co. Ltd (SKS) in China.

TKS-SL´s worldwide annual production exceeds 1,900,000 metric tons of stainless steel flat products (of which 1,500,000 metric tons are cold rolled).With our state-of-the-art stainless steel production plant which is supported by our Quality Assurance System, ThyssenKrupp Mexinox can offer a wide range of stainless steel grades, sizes and surface finishes to meet the market challenges and fulfill the quality and service requirements of all our customers.
